We have seen this airport functioning as there were very few flights weekly mainly from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. After the closing it remained under Pakistan Airforce (CAA-Civil Aviation Authority), Edhi and some other commercial flying clubs (e.g. Schon) for rescue and training purposes. I think as the second largest city of Sindh and the eight largest city of Pakistan there is a need of International Airport in our city, because when we go for international flights and come back to Hyderabad we have to take a bus or other transport from Karachi to Hyderabad and vice versa.

If Hyderabad Airport starts and working again in just domestic flights we bet that our city would provide more domestic passengers than Karachi. Remember Hyderabad City is a Junction. All National and Multinational businesses are here that cover business from Interior Sindh.


For example - Why most Banks opened in 2006-2007 in Hyderabad City?
Because they know that business is here in Hyderabad. People move from interior Sindh towards Hyderabad City because of Business and Job Opportunities.

We have International Banks such as Citi Bank & Standard Chartered Bank in Hyderabad.


This is why we request our Government to open again Hyderabad Airport as soon as possible.
